Cecilia Rios-Aguilar is an Associate Professor of Education and Director of the Higher Education Research Institute at UCLA. Her co-principal investigator is Regina Deil-Amen, a Professor of Higher Education at the University of Arizona. Their study is titled "Getting Connected: Harnessing the Power of Social Media Technology to Enhance Community College Student Success."

Julia Kaufman is a policy researcher at the RAND Corporation and Sarah Ryan is a researcher in the Research, Evaluation and Policy unit at the Education Development Center. Co-authors on this research article also include Joel Greenhouse, Ruicong She and Judy Shi. Altogether, their co-authored article was published in Community College Journal of Research and Practice and is titled “The effectiveness of blended online learning courses at the community college level.”
